Roethlisberger addresses Deflategate, doesn't know anything about pressure in footballs

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger doesn't pay any attention to the amount of pressure in the footballs he flings around the field every week.

The questions about Deflategate were bound to come at the first day of OTAs on Tuesday since the Steelers are slated to open the season against New England.

It's safe to say Roethlisberger's approach to game balls is much different than Tom Brady's alleged practices.

"People ask me all the time what our PSI is," Roethlisberger said Tuesday per PennLive.com. "I have no idea. Whatever they put it at, I play with it.

"I am not even one that messes with the balls before the games to see which ones I like," he added. "I just go play."

Regardless of whether Brady played a role in deflated balls or not, Roethlisberger said it doesn't take away from the face that he's won four titles with the Patriots. In fact, he added that opening night on Sept. 10 won't be the same if Brady is forced to sit out.

"If he's not out there, it's not the same," Roethlisberger said of Brady via ESPN.com. "I have a lot of respect for him on the football field and some of the unbelievable things that he's done."
