Steelers News: Ryan Harris, James Harrison, Antonio Brown

The Steelers will try to stack some wins together and hopefully blowout the Jets like they did to the Chiefs last week.

While the team gets out on the field for warmups we’ll be busy looking for mentions of your Black & Gold so we’ve got you covered. Here’s your Steelers Morning Huddle for Sunday, Oct. 9th.

A little thin on the O-line now

Pittsburgh made some roster moves on Saturday that certainly raised some eyebrows. Offensive tackle Ryan Harris as well as cornerback Senquez Golson were placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured List.

Upcoming Schedule

They promoted offensive lineman Matt Feiler and cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz from the practice squad.

The move effectively ends the season for tackle Ryan Harris and puts the offensive line in a tough position with Marcus Gilbert already out on injury. It also means that either Senquez Golson or linebacker Bud Dupree, who is also on IR, is done for the year as well.

The team is only allowed to bring one player back from IR.

Deebo swag

When you spend your mornings lifting thousands of pounds in sweat suits of course you know how to have a good time and clean up for the crowd.

The team put on their annual Rock Steelers Style fashion show on Saturday night to benefitting the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program and the Cancer Caring Center.

James Harrison flexing in his jersey was enough to win him the coveted swag award for the night. Who’s going to take it away from him. Arthur Moats’ kids won the Jr. swag award.

Float like a butterfly, sting like AB

Since we spent the whole week talking about Antonio Brown’s thrusting we might as well round if off with talking about his cleats.

ESPN reports that Brown will wear custom cleats (the right color, of course) honoring the late Muhammad Ali. I feel like the Jets defense is about to get stung. Last week Brown wore custom cleats honoring the recently departed Arnold Palmer.
