Tavon Austin chose a good day to have his breakout game.
After nine weeks of not much production, the Rams rookie wide
receiver is off to a hot start in Indianapolis.
Austin fielded a punt at the Rams’ 2 yard line – a
move that is generally met with rage on the sideline – made a
defender miss and ran 98 yards for a touchdown.
The Rams’ first-round pick wasn’t done. On the next
series, Austin ran a go-route to perfection and streaked by
cornerback Vontae Davis. Quarterback Kellen Clemens hit Austin in
stride and he finished it off for a 57-yard score.
And just when you thought he was done, Austin struck again.
