Seahawks' Wilson shatters franchise records for TD passes, yardage

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson set franchise records for passing yards and touchdown passes in Sunday's 36-6 rout of the Arizona Cardinals.

Wilson threw all three of his touchdown passes in a span of under four minutes in the second quarter to boost his total to 34, eclipsing the club's single-season mark of 32 set by Dave Krieg in 1984.

The fourth-quarter quarterback also became the first player in franchise history to throw for more than 4,000 yards (4.024) while also setting a club record with a 110.1 passer rating. He also is the first NFL player with at least 30 TD passes, 4,000 passing yards and 500 rushing yards in one season.

"It's constant progression," said Wilson, who had 24 scoring passes versus only one interception over the final seven games. "Every year it's to get better. That's my mission."

Wilson tied Krieg's record on a seven-yard scoring pass to fullback Will Tukuafu in the second quarter, only the second catch of Tukuafu's career. He notched the record-breaker with an eight-yard strike to tight end Chase Coffman.

Jermaine Kearse was on the receiving end of the third scoring pass by Wilson, whose previous career high was 26 touchdown passes in each of his first two seasons (2012, 2013).
