The NFL's trade deadline came and went without an Eric Weddle deal.
Now, the only deadline worth worrying about is when the star safety can heal his injured ground and rejoin his Chargers teammates.

San Diego might've held on to No. 32 after watching its defense sink to new lows without him. In two games, the Bolts have surrendered 608 passing yards and four passing touchdowns.
That's reason enough for the team to reconsider its no-contract stance. But Weddle isn't worried about that now; he just wants to return.
“With this type of injury, I can’t go into the game without going full speed,” Weddle said. “Hopefully I can (just) get in a practice.”
