Saints set club record for single-season offense

The New Orleans Saints have broken their 2008 club record for

yards from scrimmage in a season.

New Orleans entered Monday night’s game needing 178 yards to

surpass the old mark of 6,571.

Drew Brees’ 15-yard completion to Lance Moore put the Saints

over the mark in the second quarter. New Orleans had 220 yards and

6,614 for the season when that drive ended with an interception in

the Atlanta end zone on a pass that was batted away from tight end

Jimmy Graham.

The Saints are continuing to close in on the NFL all-time record

of 7,075 yards in a season, set by the St. Louis Rams in 2000.
