Rosenhaus still believes that Gordon has a place in Cleveland

Drew Rosenhaus has represented some of the biggest personalities in sports. He has represented Terrell Owens, Chad Johnson, Rob Gronkowski and LeSean McCoy, as well as Cleveland receiver Josh Gordon.

Despite the tumultuous tenure Gordon has had in Cleveland, Rosenhaus still says that Gordon has a bright future in the NFL.

On the surface this seems like nothing more than an agent sticking up for his client. However, his words look like more than just lip service because Gordon is still getting plenty of support from his teammates.

Gordon has been under the spotlight for the last year for his off-field antics. The NFL suspended him for one year without pay in February for violating the league’s Substance Abuse Policy. Nonetheless, his teammates plan doing whatever they can to get him back on the field next season, which is reassuring for both Gordon and the Browns.

Rosenhaus said Gordon’s teammates have not lost faith in him since his suspension and have been nothing but supportive. “The players on this team really care about Josh,” Rosenhaus said. This support has paid dividends in Gordon’s slow return to the field, where he hopes to return to Pro Bowl form.

Among his supporters, Joe Haden has been noted as being one of Gordon’s biggest mentors. Haden has also been serving as a mentor for Johnny Manziel following his recent off-the-field troubles. All of this is good news for Gordon, who has plenty of work to do amend his reputation.
