Rolando McClain doesn't have a locker at the Cowboys' new facility

The Dallas Cowboys opened their new training facility just a few days ago, and it looks like a mini-NFL stadium. Everything is top-notch, from the practice field (which houses 12,000 fans) to the locker room.

One thing that is missing, however, is Rolando McClain’s nameplate. According to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News, McClain doesn’t have a locker at the team’s new place.

The linebacker is suspended for the first 10 games of the regular season for violating the league's substance abuse policy, his second ban in as many years. His constant string of off-field issues have led some to believe the Cowboys will cut ties with him, and this latest sign echoes that notion.

McClain’s lack of a locker is telling of how the team views him right now. This is especially evident considering defensive end Randy Gregory, who’s also suspended and is currently in rehab, has a spot saved for him upon his return.

The Cowboys, particularly owner Jerry Jones, have been reluctant to give up on McClain. Through all of his issues, Dallas has stuck by him and given him chance after chance. The situation is still a murky one and may not be solved any time soon, but he hasn’t been ruled out for this season just yet.

Despite Jones’ unwavering support for McClain, it’s probably time to move on from him.
