Richard Sherman slams Thursday night games, calls them a 'poopfest'

You would think the Seattle Seahawks would welcome a chance to face the struggling Rams on Thursday after the Seahawks’ lopsided loss to the Packers.

But outspoken star cornerback Richard Sherman doesn’t have as much of a problem with the opponent as he does with the day of the week.

Sherman slammed Thursday night games, calling them a “poopfest” to reporters.

"Poopfest, it's terrible,” Sherman said, via ESPN. “We got home like 1 o'clock in the morning, something like that on Monday, and then you've got to play again. Congratulations, NFL, you did it again. But they've been doing it all season, so I guess we're the last ones to get the middle finger."

Seattle will play its first and only Thursday night game of the season this week — a short week that has apparently left Sherman in a foul mood. But if there were one team the Seahawks would want to face, it’s the Rams, who fired Jeff Fisher on Monday and have lost eight of their past nine games.

Seattle is sitting at 8-4-1 and in firm control of the NFC West.
