Richard Sherman explains sideline outburst vs. Falcons

Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman explained why he reacted so strongly around teammates on the sidelines of the Seahawks' 26–24 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, according to Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com.

Sherman noted there was miscommunication on an audible that was called during a play and Kelcie McCray filled in for an injured Kam Chancellor and missed the message. Julio Jones rushed for a 36-yard touchdown and Sherman erupted on the sidelines.

"It was just a miscommunication," Sherman said. "[McCray] hasn't been in the defense that long. We tried to make a new adjustment, and it was just a miscommunication. Frustrating play.”

“It's just the adjustment we make, the calls we make...Things didn't get communicated the correct way, and that's how it happens,” he added.

Sherman explained his outburst to reporters after the game.

He later noted that McCray did a “great job.”

Sherman was not without his own struggles on Sunday as he tipped a pass that was intercepted by Earl Thomas in the fourth quarter.
