Richard Sherman has another thing to lord over Patrick Peterson's head

The Seahawks star has another piece of ammo to use in his Twitter war with the newly paid Cardinals cornerback.

Richard Sherman is on quite a run.

Richard Sherman might have lost the annual salary war to Patrick Peterson on Tuesday, but all is not lost.

The Seattle Seahawks star cornerback isn't the highest paid cornerback in the NFL anymore, but he is the highest-rated player on the Madden NFL 15 video game, slated for release in the U.S. on Aug. 26.

EA Sports, the company who produces the game, gave Sherman an OVR of 99 out of 100. The only other players in the league with that same ranking are Lions receiver Calvin Johnson and Texans defensive star JJ Watt. What's more, Sherman landed the coveted spot on the cover of the game:

The company is rolling out their rankings by position, but has yet to release the full list of cornerbacks yet.

So, while Peterson can count his cash, Sherman can spend his time polishing his Super Bowl ring and knowing that in the video game world (and probably the real one) that he's still the best cornerback in the NFL.
