Report: Ray Lewis gave Bills pregame pep talk

ESPN analyst and former Baltimore Raven Ray Lewis wasn’t exactly rooting for the New England Patriots Monday when the team squared off against the Buffalo Bills.

Lewis was one of just two of ESPN’s panelists to pick against the undefeated Pats on Monday, instead taking Rex Ryan’s Bills on the road. He also provided egregious commentary that he’d rather play for Ryan than New England coach Bill Belichick.

It’s notable that Ryan served as a defensive coach in the Baltimore Ravens’ system from 1999-2008. Lewis’ career overlapped Ryan’s entire tenure with the team, so it’s really nothing more than a former respected player doing a friend a solid.
