Report: Flacco's bro declares for NFL Draft after one year of college football

Joe Flacco has made a pretty good career for himself in the NFL, and now his younger brother is hoping to follow suit.
The younger Flacco had been pursuing a baseball career after being selected in the 31st round of the 2009 MLB draft. The 26-year-old ended that pursuit last year, quitting baseball and turning his attention to a possible venture into the NFL.
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Flacco enrolled at the University of New Haven last fall. He caught 30 passes for 591 yards and nine touchdowns and was selected as a second-team Division II All-American in his lone season playing college football.
While he doesn't exactly have the same arm strength as his Super Bowl-winning older brother, Flacco will be an interesting prospect for teams come May, considering his size and athleticism. Many former basketball players have made successful leaps to the NFL, such as Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez, Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas, but Flacco will be one of the first from the baseball crowd to attempt the switch.
