Coming off his best statistical season of his seven-year career, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was ranked as the No. 8 quarterback in the NFL by The MMQB.

Flacco, who passed for 3,986 yards with 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in 2014, finished one spot ahead of fellow 2008 first-rounder Matt Ryan. Saints quarterback Drew Brees was seventh on the list.

From The MMQB

Maybe the strongest arm in the NFL (yes, arm strength matters), and he’s used it aptly in multiple schemes in recent years. It’s still incredible how little talk there is about his 2012 playoff run, which is probably the best ever.

Flacco, who has dealt with inconsistencies in the regular season, has been at his best in the playoffs in recent years. He’ll be working with his third offensive coordinator in three seasons following Gary Kubiak’s departure, and he’ll have new targets in the passing game with Torrey Smith and Owen Daniels no longer in Baltimore.
