Todd Gurley says Rams look like 'middle-school offense'

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley ripped his team saying they are running what "looked like a middle school offense" after the Rams were blown out 42–14 by the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The Rams lost for the eighth time in the last nine games and will miss the playoffs for the 12th straight season.

"We looked like a middle school offense out there," Gurley said. "I mean, I'm going to be quiet. My mom said if you don't have anything good to say, don't even say it. I'm just going to leave it as that."

Los Angeles actually outgained the Falcons and had more first downs in the game. But they were called for 11 penalties and turned the ball over five times.

Gurley ran 16 times for 61 yards and had one touchdown. He was asked if he believes the team gave an honest effort in the loss.

"I don't," Gurley said. "I really don't. We're just going through the motions. It looks like everybody's just playing to get through."

The Rams are last in total yards and first downs and also average a league-low 14.9 points per game.
