Raiders dealt dose of reality by Steelers

Published Nov. 22, 2010 5:47 p.m. ET

The good feeling generated by three straight wins for the Oakland Raiders was quickly erased by a blowout in Pittsburgh.

The question for the Raiders now is whether they lost more than just one game in the standings in that 35-3 loss Sunday to the Steelers.

Oakland lost defensive end Trevor Scott to a torn ACL in his left knee and now must wait to hear from the NFL if the team will be forced to play without defensive tackle Richard Seymour this week against Miami.

Seymour was ejected late in the first half after hitting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the jaw with an open hand following a touchdown pass. The Raiders (5-5) now must wait to hear if he will get a suspension as well.
