The Oakland Raiders head to Nashville to face the improving Tennessee Titans. Check here where you can watch these teams square off.

For the second straight year, the Silver and Black makes its way to east to Nashville to face Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans.

Last season in Week 12, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns without an interception, including a 12-yard score to wideout Seth Roberts with 1:21 to play, to give Jack Del Rio’s club an exciting 24-21 win.

In that contest, Mariota rallied his team from a 17-6 third-quarter deficit to a 21-17 advantage with 4:41 remaining, before Carr’s heroics. The Titans’ signal-caller totaled 218 yards through the air and matched Carr with three scores. But Mariota was also picked off twice, the second in the final minute of play by Raiders’ safety Nate Allen.

Given the way the Raiders have played on both sides of the ball this season, it’s hard to believe we are not in for another high-scoring affair. Seven days after rallying for a 35-34 victory over the New Orleans Saints, Carr and his teammates couldn’t outscore the visiting Falcons this past Sunday, 35-28.

On the other hand, the Titans couldn’t be more consistent. For the second consecutive week, Mariota threw a pair of touchdown passes and Mike Mularkey’s club scored exactly 16 points. In Week 1, that wasn’t good enough to beat the Minnesota Vikings (25-16) but this past weekend, it was enough to edge the Detroit Lions, 16-15, at Ford Field. Tennessee overcame a 15-3 fourth-quarter deficit for its first win of 2016.

The Tennessee of the Tennessee defense under legendary coordinator Dick LeBeau can’t be ignored either. The Titans have allowed a combined 40 points in two games but surrendered only one offensive touchdown in those contests.

Can Mularkey, LeBeau and their team keep the potent Oakland offense under wraps? It makes for a fascinating chess match in the Music City.
