Pro Football Hall of Fame names 26 semifinalists for Class of 2017
The Pro Football Hall of Fame has announced the 26 semifinalists for the Class of 2017.
Among the first-year eligibles include LaDainian Tomlinson, Hines Ward, Jason Taylor and Brian Dawkins.
The list was cut from 94 modern-era nominees
Two coaches, Don Coryell and Jimmy Johnson made the semifinals and placekicker Morten Andersen, the NFL's career scoring leader made the cut.
The new Hall of Fame class will be selected in Houston on Feb. 4, 2017, the day before Super Bowl LI. There will be between four and eight new members of the new Hall.
