James Harrison demands Roger Goodell come to him for PED interview

Published Jun. 27, 2016 6:34 a.m. ET

If the NFL wants to interview Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison over the Al-Jazeera America report that linked him and other NFL players to performance-enhancing drugs, that's fine.

But he has some stipulations.

1. The interview has to be at his house, not in training camp as the league has previously planned.

2. Harrison gets to choose the date.

3. Roger Goodell has to be there.

He made the statement via an overnight Instagram post.

Harrison and the NFL have been at odds over PED testing this offseason, with the Steelers star recording one test and being shut down from recording a second test. He still took the test off camera, saying he was told not cooperating would be treated the same as a positive result.

Other players the NFL plans to interview after being named in the Al-Jazeera America report include Green Bay linebackers Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews and free-agent linebacker Mike Neal, a former Packer. Peyton Manning was also named in the report but has since retired.
