Patriots reportedly reinstate Alan Branch a week after suspending him

A week after Alan Branch reportedly told teammates that the New England Patriots suspended him, the Patriots reinstated him Thursday, according to ESPN.

Branch's suspension reportedly began last Thursday, though the team never announced the reason nor length of the suspension.

Branch started 15 games last season for the Patriots and had 35 tackles and one sack. The Patriots acquired him during the 2014 season after he was released by the Bills following an arrest on suspicion of DUI.

The nine-year veteran defensive tackle broke into the league in 2007 after being drafted in the second round by the Cardinals. Branch played in Arizona for four seasons before moving on to the Seahawks for two seasons.
