EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) Fans straining to get autographs from receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Victor Cruz caused a section of temporary bleachers to buckle slightly after the New York Giants' first training camp practice Friday.

The Giants said no one was injured in the incident. Beckham and Cruz were ushered away by team officials.

Beckham, the NFL's offensive rookie of the year, had signed numerous autographs during the session, using up the ink in five markers.

Beckham might be the most sought after athlete in the New York metropolitan area, with most people remembering his one-handed touchdown catch against the Dallas Cowboys.

''A portion of a bleacher shifted during the autograph session following training camp practice today,'' the team said in a statement. ''According to Seating Solutions, the supplier of the bleachers, the shift was caused due to an unexpected surge in spectators.''

The Giants said that the fans were immediately removed from the area.

Representatives and engineers from Seating Solutions were to examine all of the bleachers surrounding the practice fields Friday night and make any necessary adjustments.

The team also said post-practice autograph sessions will be relocated to the Kids' Zone area at the north end of the practice fields and autographs will be limited to children 12 and under.
