Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles underwent X-rays for a left shoulder injury in Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, the team announced. He will not return.

Foles is being examined for a possible clavicle injury, a source tells FOX Sports 1 NFL insider Mike Garafolo.

Foles, who got hit by Texans linebacker Whitney Mercilus, walked to the locker room for further examination.

Backup quarterback Mark Sanchez replaced Foles and piloted a scoring drive.
