Despite reports that Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis would attempt to play Sunday against the New York Giants, the Ravens announced that Lewis was not added to the 53-man roster by Saturday's deadline.

This could be a season of destiny for the Harbaugh-led 49ers. See who's in the playoffs, and when they play.

Lewis, who has been sidelined with a triceps tear since Oct. 14, will miss his ninth straight game. The NFL Network reports Lewis is also likely to miss the season finale at the Cincinnati Bengals but could return for the playoffs. He has practiced for the past three weeks, wearing a brace on his right arm.

Instead, the Ravens activated linebacker Adrian Hamilton from the practice squad. Linebacker Jameel McClain (neck) has been moved to injured reserve.

Without their emotional leader, the Ravens have lost three straight and are 4-4 since he went out. They clinched a playoff spot last week and can win the AFC North with a win on Sunday.

On the other side of the ball, receiver Torrey Smith (concussion) and guard Marshal Yanda (ankle) are both questionable, the team announced Saturday. Both were limited participants in practice on Thursday and Friday.
