NFL odds: Early look at Week 14 reveals plenty on the line in big games

The Chiefs (9–3) are coming off two huge road wins and return to Arrowhead Stadium as small home betting favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com for their Week 14 Thursday matchup against the AFC West-leading Raiders (10–2).

The Chiefs opened as three-point chalk on the NFL point spreads and are the last team to beat the Raiders, escaping Oakland with a 26–10 win as two-point road favorites in Week 6.

Since then, Oakland has reeled off six consecutive wins, going 5–1 against the spread during that stretch. The Raiders have won each of their last three games by overcoming deficits of a touchdown or more and are seemingly never out of a game.

Meanwhile, Kansas City has won seven of eight (5–3 against the spread) and can take over the division lead by completing their series sweep.

The Sunday night game features another key divisional battle between the NFC East-leading Cowboys (11–1) and the Giants (8–4). The Cowboys, listed as three-point road favorites against the Giants, defeated the Vikings 17–15 last Thursday night but failed to cover a three-point spread on the road.

Meanwhile, the Giants lost 24–14 to the Steelers as 6.5-point road underdogs over the weekend. New York remains the only team to hand Dallas a loss, earning a 20–19 victory as one-point road favorites back in Week 1, and is still in the wild-card hunt.

The Cowboys are 5–2 straight up in the past seven meetings with the Giants but 0-3-1 ATS in the last four, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

Other intriguing matchups in Week 14 include the Steelers (7–5) visiting the Bills (6–6) as 1.5-point favorites, the Packers (6–6) hosting the Seahawks (8-3-1) as 2.5-point underdogs, and the Patriots (10–2) squaring off against the Ravens (7–5) as 7.5-point home chalk in the Monday night game.

The Steelers have won the past five meetings with the Bills and are 9–1 against the spread in the previous 10 matchups. The Seahawks have failed to cover five of the previous seven meetings with the Packers and lost six straight at Lambeau Field. The Patriots are 10–3 straight up in their last 13 meetings with the Ravens, who are 5-3-1 against the spread over the series’ past nine games.
