Jets lose cornerback Dee Milliner (wrist) for 6-8 weeks

The New York Jets continue to get bit by the injury bug this offseason. After having Muhammad Wilkerson limited in practice due to a hamstring, the Jets lost safety Antonio Allen for the season with a torn Achilles. The Jets also lost rookie wide receiver Devin Smith for four to six weeks earlier in training camp.

Now, they'll be without another key player.

According to the team, oft-injured cornerback, former first-round draft pick Dee Milliner, will be out six to eight weeks. Milliner injured a tendon in his right wrist in practice on Thursday and will undergo surgery Friday.

Milliner had high expectations for the 2015 season after being injured in his first two seasons in the league. He wasn't expected to be a starter, but he was hoping to see the field enough to make an impact. Milliner was buried on the depth chart behind the newly-acquired cornerbacks Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine.

Fortunately, the Jets have depth at all the positions that have suffered injuries, making the losses less daunting.
