Source: Giants to sign former Cowboys defensive end Selvie

The New York Giants will sign free-agent defensive end George Selvie, FOX Sports 1 NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reported Friday.

Selvie, a six-year veteran, spent the past two years with the Dallas Cowboys, totaling 10 sacks during that time. Selvie didn't miss a game with the Cowboys after failing to reach double digits in games played the previous three years.

Selvie likely will fill the void left by Mathias Kiwanuka, who was released by the Giants. The Cowboys probably didn't feel the need to bring back Selvie after signing troubled but talented defensive end Greg Hardy on Wednesday.
