RB C.J. Spiller plays only nine percent of snaps in Saints debut

When the New Orleans Saints announced that running back C.J. Spiller would play in Week 2, it almost came with the expectation that he wouldn't get a heavy workload. Apparently, whatever the pitch count that Spiller was on, wound up being far lower than fans likely expected.

When Larry Holder of The Times-Picayune broke down the snap counts for the Saints on Sunday, it was pretty surprising to see Spiller's numbers. As Holder reported, he was in for just nine percent of the offensive snaps, which equates to only seven snaps.

The Saints are obviously easing Spiller back into the action, but it'll be interesting to see what his usage looks like in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.
