The New Orleans Saints are 0-2 and their 36-year-old quarterback Drew Brees is a bit banged up. As a response to these two facts, an article was posted by fivethirtyeightsports.com suggesting that it is time for the Saints to “break up” with Brees.

The Saints caught wind of the article and took to Twitter to post this comical response, utilizing a fantastic GIF of Ron Frickin’ Swanson from “Parks and Recreation” to address a report they obviously see as nonsense.

A quote within the original article stated this:

The tweet posted by the Saints shows they obviously aren’t buying into this logic. As it stands, Brees’ status to play on Sunday is iffy due to the quarterback having a bruised rotator cuff that has limited his production in Week 2. Making things worse, the Saints as a whole have looked terrible the past two weeks.

If Brees is able to play on the road against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday then he’s going to have a difficult go of it. The Panthers are the Saints’ primary NFC South competition and currently sit at 2-0, featuring a stifling defense and diverse offense led by quarterback Cam Newton.
