Pats owner Kraft rips NFL over 'one-sided' Deflategate ruling

As reaction flew in Monday to the news the NFL suspended Patriots QB Tom Brady four games, and fined the team $1 million and docked it a pair of draft picks, as a result of the Deflategate investigation, perhaps no response was more anticipated than that of the club and owner Tom Kraft.

Along with the concern for his team’s own interests, Kraft is a de facto boss of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, who came into power by way of an owners’ vote and who can be removed from office via the same manner. And few owners, if any, wield as much power as the man in charge in New England.

So when the Patriots finally did release their official response on Monday night, they did so with the clear intent of who crafted the release, and just how unpleased he is with the decision.

Earlier in the day, Brady’s agent, Don Yee, issued his own statement. He called the suspension “ridiculous,” inferred the league and the Colts conspired in a pre-AFC title game “planning regarding the footballs,” and that he will “expose” the Ted Wells Report, the basis for the league’s action Monday.

Yee also said Brady will appeal the suspension. You can read Yee’s statement in full here.
