Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs had been quiet for a few weeks, but he flashed his playmaking ability against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. He kicked off the scoring with a 15-yard, over-the-shoulder reception from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to give the Vikings a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.
The touchdown grab was Diggs’ first since Week 8, and it was a beauty.
Diggs, a fifth-round rookie out of Maryland, averaged over 100 receiving yards and scored two touchdowns in his first four NFL games. After that, however, he went six straight weeks with fewer than 70 yards and without a touchdown grab.
Although Diggs has shown some potential as a rookie, the Vikings passing game isn’t consistent enough for him to become a star just yet.
