Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh recently revealed who he selected in the first round of his fantasy football league’s draft this season. Obviously, he picked teammate and All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson.

Walsh actually said he scooped up Peterson with the fifth-overall pick.

Via ESPN’s Ben Goessling:

Somebody actually let him (Peterson) slip to the fifth pick. How, I have no idea.

Walsh is reaping the benefits of having Peterson on his team — in more ways than one. Peterson is the fourth highest scoring non-quarterback and the second highest scoring running back in fantasy this season. He has also led the NFL in rushing for most of this season, making him the main reason behind Minnesota’s eight victories heading into Week 15.

Walsh should be one of Peterson’s biggest fans down the stretch, since the back’s big games pay off for him twofold.
