Adrian Peterson on loss to Packers: 'They wanted it more than we did'

The Minnesota Vikings fell to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, and All-Pro running back Adrian Peterson wasn't happy about his team's effort in the 30-13 beatdown. He said the Packers simply wanted it more than the Vikings, according to the team's official Twitter account.

And that applies to everyone. In his post-game interview, Peterson made it clear that no one escapes the blame for Minnesota's loss in a key NFC North matchup. He called out players and coaches alike, via ESPN's Ben Goessling:

I think it's from the top to the bottom. It's from the coaches on both sides and the players, as well. No matter what position we were in, we had calls, and we didn't execute on a lot of plays. It came back to hurt us. But it's the coaches' job to put us in the best position, as well.

Peterson can't skirt the blame, either. He finished the game with 13 carries for 45 yards (3.5 yards per carry), as Week 11 marked his least productive outing since Minnesota's season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Although the veteran back kept his team alive with a six-yard touchdown run at the end of the third quarter, he virtually sealed victory for the Packers with a fumble in the game's final frame.
