Michael Phelps shames reporter for wearing Steelers gear

Michael Phelps is a noted Ravens fan, mainly because he’s a Baltimore native. The Ravens, of course, are also huge supporters of Phelps. They played his 200-meter individual medley on the big screen during Friday’s preseason game, which was awesome and admired by Cam Newton.

Being a massive Ravens backer, Phelps wasn’t happy to see Steelers gear at his press conference in Rio. He even called out a reporter for his apparel choice.

"Is that a Steelers?" Phelps asked the reporter. "Oh man. Golly. There we go, there's some Ravens ... man, Steelers ... Football season is back."

As a result of Phelps’ (somewhat dramatic) disgust for Steelers gear, the Olympic official went to the reporter wearing Ravens apparel first, which the 23-time gold medalist was pleased with.

Phelps was asked a question about the Steelers and Ravens rivalry, to which he replied by saying this.

"I always think we're going to beat Pittsburgh," Phelps said. "That's the obvious answer. But I think one of the cool things about that, we always play each other really hard, and as much as I'm not a Steelers fan, the games are really exciting and we get a lot of intense hits.”

Take this as a lesson not to wear black and yellow around Phelps.
