Dolphins rookie WR DeVante Parker looks up to veteran Greg Jennings

The Miami Dolphins have high hopes for rookie wide receiver DeVante Parker, but his impact may not be felt immediately this season. He's on a team with a group of very talented wide receivers and is coming off of foot surgery, but seems to be progressing well ahead of Week 1.

While he hasn't been on the field much this offseason, he's had time to not only learn the playbook, but learn from veterans like Greg Jennings.

"It’s a very good receiving room," Parker said via Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. "Greg Jennings, he’s a big time player. He’s been around for a few years. Now I just look up to him to see what he does, his work ethic.

"I’m learning the system very well. Greg, he’s a very smart guy. I’m looking up to all of them, they’re teaching me things I need to know like how to do certain routes, blocking techniques and all that."

Parker played in the team's final preseason game and is expected to be healthy for Week 1, but how much he'll actually play remains to be seen. Even if he doesn't make a huge impact early in the season, Parker will be an integral part of the offense down the road this year. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Dolphins ease him along.
