Miami Dolphins defensive end Derrick Shelby was arrested Saturday night at a Florida nightclub, according to multiple reports.

According to the Florida Sun Sentinel, police spokesperson Detective DeAnna Greenlaw said in email that Shelby was "reportedly causing a disturbance at a club." According to the Palm Beach Post, he was arrested at 2:28 a.m. and released on bond at 10:21 a.m. The Dolphins are off this week.

"Security officers employed at this establishment and uniform Fort Lauderdale Police Officers asked Shelby to leave the establishment and he refused," Greenlaw said in an email to the paper on Sunday morning.

He was taken into custody on charges of resisting without violence and trespassing after warning, multiple sites reported.
