ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) The Detroit Lions have released tight end Kellen Davis.

The Lions also announced Tuesday that they have signed guard Rodney Austin from the practice squad and signed linebacker Jerrell Harris to the practice squad.

Davis played three games for the Lions this season without catching a pass. Detroit was beset by injuries at tight end, but Brandon Pettigrew and Joseph Fauria are healthy now.

The 29-year-old Davis has 50 receptions in seven NFL seasons with Chicago, Seattle and Detroit.
