Landon Collins Just Pulled Off a Ridiculous Pick-Six Return (Video)

New York Giants safety Landon Collins returned an interception of Case Keenum 45 yards for a touchdown on one of the most ridiculous plays you’ll see

Whenever the New York Giants selected Landon Collins with the first pick in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, they had high hopes. The Giants secondary has long been a problem area, but the Alabama product seemed to have the potential to start turning that around. While the results have varied over the past 1.5 seasons, he showed on Sunday in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams just how quickly he can change a game.

In London, the Giants fell behind early, trailing the Rams 10-0. What’s worse is that Case Keenum and the LA offense seemed to be in-rhythm against the New York defense. However, all it took was one play from Landon Collins to completely alter momentum.

Keenum actually made a nice throw over the middle of the field. However, Collins in coverage got a hand on the ball and tipped it up. Subsequently, he was able to secure it and took off towards the right sideline. That’s when the real magic started.

Collins saw that he had blocking, but needed a lane. Thus, he cut back to the right side of the field, out-running Rams would-be tacklers in the process. Wearing down as he moved up field, a host of blockers helped guide the way. The safety then muscled his way through the pile for the final five yards to get into the end zone for the pick-six:

That’s absolutely absurd and one of the best interception returns we’ll see in Week 7—or 2016 for that matter. If Landon Collins can make that type of play consistently (or even something close), this Giants defense could start to turn around.
