Jared Veldheer: 'It's going to be a great year with the run game'

Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Jared Veldheer is not worried about the Cardinals' running game this season. Arizona was one of the worst rushing teams in the league last year.

Veldheer told the Arizona Republic at OTAs that the Cardinals have all the right pieces this season to be successful on the ground.

"I think it'll be great," Veldheer said. "With the backfield that we have and the pieces that we have up front and the demeanor that we have in our room, I think it's going to be a great year with the run game."

The Cardinals biggest offseason acquisition Mike Iupati should be a huge help in the run game. Iupati will line up next to Veldheer, who thinks the two will be a real force working together.

"I think he's going to be awesome in the run, being able to double team guys with him and then when he pulls around on a power play and just knocks the snot out of a linebacker," Veldheer said.
