Jaguars CB Colvin serves notice in win over Bills

Cornerback Aaron Colvin's performance in the Jacksonville Jaguars' 34-31 victory over the Buffalo Bills in London left his teammates raving about his potential.

Colvin, a 2014 fourth-round pick, came up with two big plays in the win. In the second-quarter, he forced a fumble from Bills quarterback EJ Manuel with a strip sack. Jaguars defensive end Chris Clemons collected the ball and took it in for a six-yard touchdown.

Late in the fourth quarter, with Jacksonville clinging to a three point lead, Colvin batted away Manuel's fourth-down pass intended for wide receiver Robert Woods, clinching the game for the Jaguars.

"I pride myself on making plays when they come my way,” Colvin said, per the Florida Times-Union. “Fortunately, it was to win the game which made it even sweeter.”

The 24-year-old's performance left his teammates impressed.

“He’s a future premier DB in this league,” Jacksonville linebacker Telvin Smith said. “Those are the plays he makes. They didn’t go after him too much (Sunday), but when they did you saw what happened.”

Colvin, who missed the first 10 games of his rookie year while recovering from a knee injury, has 32 tackles and three sacks this season to go along with the forced fumble.
