Jaguars unapologetic about controversial win

If you're expecting the Jaguars to feel guilty about they way they won Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, think again.

On Monday, the NFL said the Jaguars should have been called for a false start on the play prior to Jason Myers' 53-yard game-winning field. According to the league, that penalty should have ended the game, leaving Baltimore the winner.

Instead, it wasn't called, but a facemask on Baltimore's Elvis Dumervil was. That moved Jacksonville into field goal range for the final kick with no time remaining on the clock, and the Jaguars emerged with a 22-20 win.

In the wake of the NFL's announcement, Jacksonville players said it was no different than any number of calls the league admits were missed during games. The results still stand.

"I don’t give a damn what they think now," defensive end Jared Odrick said, per ESPN. "It’s in the books, right?

"It’s just like whenever we send in holding calls that happen throughout the game or an illegal block or anything like that. They always talk about, ‘Yeah, this call should have been (overturned),’ but that’s not going to change the game for us."

Jacksonville head coach Gus Bradley said the team hasn't spent much time thinking about the controversy and didn't let it detract from their enjoyment of the win.

"Believe me, we celebrated it," Bradley said.
