Wrist injury sends Colts RB Bradshaw to IR again

Published Nov. 30, 2015 12:05 p.m. ET

For the third straight year, Indianapolis Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw's season has been cut short by injury.

On Monday, the team announced Bradshaw was being placed on season-end injured reserve after the veteran back hurt his wrist in Sunday's 25-12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In six games serving as Frank Gore's backup this season, Bradshaw caught three touchdown passes while running 31 times for 85 yards.

The 29-year old Bradshaw played just three games in 2013 before suffering a neck injury, while a broken leg last season limited him to 10 games.

Running back Zurlon Tipton, who was released last week, was re-signed to take Bradshaw's spot on the active roster. Tipton and the recently re-acquired Dan "Boom" Herron will provide depth at running back behind Gore.
