Ike Taylor: Tom Brady is 'so good it makes me sick'

Ike Taylor has had a front-row seat for much of Tom Brady’s greatness, having played 12 seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers while the quarterback won four Super Bowls with the New England Patriots.

And Taylor still is amazed by No. 12.

Taylor, who announced his retirement in April, has been working with the NFL Network as an analyst since August. The former Steelers cornerback faced Brady and the Patriots many times during his career, so he certainly has an appreciation for the future Hall of Famer’s continued success at age 38.

For proof, look no further than Taylor’s assessment of Brady following the Patriots’ 30-23 win over the New York Jets on Sunday at Gillette Stadium. Brady completed 34 of 54 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns — he added a rushing TD, too — as the Pats overcame a 20-16 fourth-quarter deficit.

Brady has thrown for 2,054 yards and 16 touchdowns to one interception this season while guiding the Patriots to a 6-0 start. It’s almost incomprehensible.

Or, in Taylor’s case, vomit-inducing.
