Duane Brown could make his first start of 2016 in the Texans Week 5 game at Minnesota.

“I think he’s closer,” head coach Bill O’Brien said of Brown’s return. “I don’t think he will play against Tennessee, but I know that there’s a shot for the next game.”

The Texans starting left tackle has been rehabbing from his January quadriceps surgery. Brown was not placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list prior to the start of the season so he can return to the starting lineup as soon as he is ready. For now, he has been working with trainers on the side field but not yet participating in practice.

Fitzpatrick, the Texans’ starting quarterback for most of the 2014 season, had a disastrous day, throwing six interceptions in the New York Jets’ loss at Kansas City.

Broncos general manager John Elway is paying Siemian $583,195 this year to not mess it up for linebacker Von Miller and the Denver defense. Houston is enduring a salary-cap hit of $12 million for Osweiler to look lost while surveying an NFL defense, as he did getting trounced Thursday by New England.

At 20 times the compensation, Osweiler doesn’t look one lick better than Siemian. The quarterback rating for Osweiler is 72.2, while Siemian’s rating is 74.4.
