An injury to starting Houston Texans strong safety Quintin Demps provided Andre Hal with an opportunity to make the first start of this NFL Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Hall more than delivered.

The second-year cornerback-turned-safety intercepted Jacksonville quarterback Blake Bortles twice, in the 31-20 win. The first put a stop to a Jacksonville drive late in the first half, while Hall returned his second pick 31 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

“It was very exciting,” Hal said, per the team's official website. “Every time you get a pick six you know it’s very exciting. You see the end zone. There’s nobody there. I was just running. I was happy.”

A seventh-round pick in 2014, Hal finished the day with three tackles to go along with the two interceptions.
