Henry Melton on Gerald McCoy: 'His work ethic is crazy'

When Henry Melton signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he was obviously excited to play alongside of Gerald McCoy. Who wouldn't be, right? Well, it took actually getting to Tampa and working in the offseason with McCoy for Melton fully understand the type of work and player that McCoy is, according to Joe Kania of Buccaneers.com.

“I really didn’t realize how good of a player Gerald is,” Melton said in a one-on-one interview with Buccaneers.com Senior Writer Scott Smith. “His work ethic is crazy. I’m just learning from that and trying to be a better player.”

It's no surprise that McCoy puts in the time to become a better player each and every year, which is what has helped him become one of the best defensive tackles in the game. McCoy's work ethic seems to be rubbing off on the other players, or at least Melton, and the combination of the two players should make for a scary defensive line in 2015.
