Packers list Eddie Lacy at 234 pounds

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is one of the biggest ball-carriers you'll find across the league. The team lists him at 234 pounds, which is up four pounds from his listed weight last year, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.

Still young and productive, Lacy can get away with getting himself into playing shape during training camp. Other players -- ones who are far less likely to play a major role the offense -- must enter camp in tip-top shape in order to even be considered for a roster spot.

"I don't get that at all," Lacy said, via ESPN. "You can't just come straight here because then you're labeled 'not conditioned,' and that's not a good label going into any training camp. Yeah, you continue to condition during camp, yeah."

At 25 years old, Lacy has eclipsed 1,100 rushing yards in each of his first two NFL seasons. Last year, he started to grow as a pass-catcher. The former second-round pick made 42 receptions for 427 yards and four touchdowns in 2014.

We'll see if this model is sustainable. At some point, Lacy will need to pay closer attention to his conditioning in order to prolong his career, especially since he's playing such a physically-tolling position in running back.
