Drafted player changes Twitter name to 'Pick 245'

Heading into this weekend’s NFL Draft, Tre McBride was pegged as possible third or fourth round selection. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen as the wide receiver from William & Mary was chosen by the Titans in the seventh round. Now, McBride’s Twitter account is a reminder of when he was drafted.

Having already chosen Marcus Mariota second overall, Tennessee went the route of giving him a weapon to utilize in wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham with the eighth pick in the second round. The Titans made McBride their final addition from this year’s draft, making him the 245th player selected.

His draft position will likely mean an uphill battle making the Titans roster. However, it’s tough to bet against players who feel they have something to prove. And, for a guy who had to wait longer than expected to her his name called, McBride probably sees himself in that category. If McBride proves to be a solid addition to Tennessee’s receiving corps, the team can look back on pick 245 of the 2015 NFL Draft and feel they made out pretty well.
