Lions players tell third-graders what they eat before a game
Fielding questions from the media is part of the job for a professional football player, but answering the inquiries of curious third-grade students is just for fun.
At an event called "Meet Up and Eat Up" on Tuesday, four Detroit Lions hung out with 30 kids from local public schools in an effort to promote "healthy activity and healthy eating among inner-city youths," according Aaron McMann of MLive.com.
Wide receivers Calvin Johnson, Lance Moore and Corey Fuller, as well as safety Glover Quin, were the Lions in attendance.
"It's important to the kids," Johnson said, per MLive.com. "No matter what age, as long as you can have an impact. We're teaching them some good things to eat and how to take care of their body. It's good coming out here and seeing all the faces."
One student asked Johnson and the other Lions what they eat before games. Check out their answers in the video player below.
