Goodson starts at RB for Panthers

Carolina running backs DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart and Tyrell Sutton are inactive for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, leaving second-year pro Mike Goodson to start against the Buccaneers.

Linebacker Quincy Black, fullback Earnest Graham, defensive end Kyle Moore and defensive tackle Ryan Sims are not playing for the Bucs because of injuries.

The remainder of Carolina's inactives are defensive end Greg Hardy, cornerback C.J. Wilson, linebacker Abdul Hodge, receiver Devin Thomas and receiver Armanti Edwards, who's designated as the third quarterback.

Quarterback Rudy Carpenter, receiver Sammie Stroughter, cornerback Myron Lewis and offensive tackle Will Barker are inactive for the Bucs.
