Report: Cowboys to start Dak Prescott over Tony Romo vs. Eagles
The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly start quarterback Dak Prescott against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8 and Tony Romo may not be ready to return from his back injury against the Cleveland Browns, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.
The Cowboys are 5–1 on the season with Prescott at quarterback. The former Mississippi State star has thrown for 1,486 yards and seven touchdowns. He is coming off a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in which he completed 18 of 24 passes for 227 yards.
Owner and general manager Jerry Jones says that the Romo and Prescott situation is “not a problem” and described it as a “great situation.”
Prescott will face fellow rookie Carson Wentz in a Sunday night matchup against the Eagles on Oct. 30.
